At some point in their lives many people find they want to investigate or revisit the basic truths of the Christian faith. In order to help people do this we run 8 - 10 week long courses, around once a year, using some materials from the Alpha course.

Each session on the course consists of 3 parts. The first part is an informal meal giving folks a chance to get to know one another. After the meal a video is shown addressing a question of the Christian faith. Subjects include “Who is Jesus?”, “Why did He die?”, “How can I be sure of my faith?”, “What about prayer?”, “What about the bible?”, “Who is the Holy Spirit?” “Does God guide us today?”. Following the video are discussion groups of between 6 and 12 people. These groups are an opportunity for course participants to put forward their points of view about what was said on the video and discover where they and others in their group stand on these issues. There is no onus on people to talk in the groups and some people find it most helpful just to listen. (Please note that you will not be asked to read aloud, pray aloud or sing.)

These courses are usually popular and of course, are open to all whether you are examining the Christian faith for the first time, bringing a friend or are a church member refreshing yourself on the basics.
