Children and teenagers are an exceedingly important part of our church. We hope that the church can function as a family does - with older members befriending and encouraging the young and vice versa! We hope that our Sunday Club programme, staffed by 16 volunteers from the congregation who enjoy working with young people, introduces children to the basic truths of the Christian faith in a way which is relevant, meaningful and fun!
Sunday Club meets during the second half of the morning service and is open to all children of any age. If you’re just visiting us because you’re on holiday you’ll also be made very welcome!  If you’d like to make enquires or chat with someone about Sunday club do contact us.
These are the groups that make up the Sunday Club….
Crèche is for babies and tots up to around 3 years of age. Parents can leave their children in the crèche during the service or keep their children with them in the church if they prefer. The creche is run by    volunteers organised by Catherine Bauer.
In Sparklers (for those aged 3ish-p2) we have juice and biscuits and learn about God and how He wants to be our friend. We usually do a game and a craft and we pray about anything that is on our minds.  In XSTREAM (for those in p3-7) we do games, crafts, see videos and have quizzes to get us to learn more about God and how He can help us in our lives. We have juice and biscuits too - you’re welcome to join us!
In TEEN GROUP (for S1 - S6) we do some games or competitions and also try and work out what christianity is all about and how it’s relevant to us in our lives! We are working on some musical stuff and enjoy anything involving food.
During the school holidays these groups usually amalgamate on Sunday mornings with a slightly different programme from usual.                                                          The church supports the work of Berwickshire Christian Youth Trust (BCYT). Mark Bruce and Stuart Otley (p/t) are employed by BCYT to work in schools and churches in Berwickshire and are well known to our young people. BCYT’s office is at Platform 1 on the industrial estate.
