Small groups are an important part of our church but why be in a small group? Many people find that getting together in a small group of between 5 and 15 people is very helpful. People find they can support one another in a practical way as well as have opportunities to pray, study the Bible and ask questions together which isn’t possible to the same extent in the larger weekly services.

In Duns Parish there are several small groups that meet weekly or fortnightly in the church hall or in peoples homes. They are for anyone who is keen to learn more about God and to grow in their faith.

Currently meeting are:

There is a group on Tuesday mornings 9.30am for any woman around in the daytime. This group usually does a book or bible study discussion and also prays together. Under 5’s welcome! Speak to Sheila Sim for details

The Wednesday evening group usually meets at Caroline and Mike Frew’s home and follows the same study material as the Tuesday morning group.

Other courses are announced on a Sunday or on the What’s New page.

If you’d like to try a group but aren’t really sure which one would be right for you, our minister would be happy to chat with you about that.
