Peru Trip Info.

In January of last year Mike Hudson got the chance to go with other church leaders on a fact-finding trip to Peru with the Vine Trust (http://www.amazonferry.com/). There he saw first-hand the work the Trust is doing – supporting street children, literally providing floating medical care and more. He was so inspired by his trip, he has challenged folks from DPC and beyond to go over to Peru to get their hands dirty! |
|
Next summer there is an opportunity to take part in a fortnight long “workparty” in Peru. The first party going out June 26 – July 11th and the second party from July 10-26th. Participants will raise their own costs and travel along with others from churches in Scotland to Peru to take part in a construction project supporting work with street children. Be warned – workparties are no easy holidays, they’re hard work and the conditions aren’t exactly luxurious… |

So far, our 9 places on the second workparty have been snapped up fast and 10 more folk have booked onto the first trip on which there are still spaces. A fundraising steering group has been formed and some interesting profile-raising fundraisers are being planned. Speak to Mike or Andrew or watch this space for more information about this exciting project! |
